PED5
The PED5 is used for confined space or work and rescue tasks. The device can work with a bosuns chair, harness or rescue sling. The kernmantle rope runs over a top and bottom pulley and the user can either ascend or descend independent of any other person, control being maintained by the ascender which can be either right or left handed. In rescue, or as an assist, another person can help raise or lower the user with an ascender, independent of the person in the chair or harness.

The PED3 is used in conjunction with an escape harness or rescue sling. The PED3 is the smallest automatic abseil and rescue device in the world. The unit is robust in all weathers and the rope entry and exit is separated from all internals to prevent dirt ingress. The user may stop at any point with little force being applied to the ascending rope.
