Below is a breakdown of the type of information that is discussed within this Health and Safety plan:
  • Induction - All personnel and subcontractors will be inducted prior to commencing work for New Zealand Height Services. Subcontractors will also be required to work in accordance with the specific Health and Safety plan including all compliance information.
  • Regular H&S meetings and the use of the “Opportunity for Improvement” forms (copy in appendices) are encouraged to promote ideas from all levels of personnel. Full personnel meetings are held monthly to discuss all Regional Safety issues.
  • Hazard Management - Site specific hazard identification is required to be reviewed every time a New Zealand Height Services staff member or subcontractors visits a site and is witnessed by all personnel on site, as well as stakeholders if present.
  • Accident and Near Miss Reporting for all incidents that do and do not cause injury or damage.
  • Defined responsibilities for all staff and management.
  • Health monitoring and immunisation.
  • Audit surveillance.
  • Management review.
  • Staff training.
  • Emergency procedures.
  • Management for the safe operation of plant.
  • Managing subcontractor relationships.
  • Visitor/public safety.
